Fraud Alert: Amanda Lynn Poppen’s Medical Scam
Beware of a fraudulent fundraising scheme led by Amanda Lynn Poppen, who falsely claims her 9-year-old daughter, Isabella (Bella), has Cystic Fibrosis and urgently needs treatment at Bright Research Studies in Minneapolis.
Poppen, along with accomplices Jennifer Delawder, Jennifers Husband Geoffery (Rick) and Edward Bowser, uses falsified medical documents and emotional manipulation to solicit money. When contacted, an alleged representative of Bright Research Studies—who identified himself as Jennifer Delawder’s husband—falsely confirmed the story, claiming he was an assistant at the facility and that Amanda had signed waivers allowing him to discuss Bella’s condition. He reinforced the scam by expressing sympathy, stating Bella "pulled at his heartstrings."
This entire scheme is a fraud—there is no verified medical emergency or legitimate research treatment involved.
